3000+ Free Songs For Kids - Plus an Entire Library of Classical Music Free

Just about everyone knows that music will help your child's IQ, test scores, ability to learn mathematics, behavior, and more. So how do you even begin to teach a child music?

To start... PLAY MUSIC!

Baby Gamer they have a about 20 music videos with songs like Butterfly and I'm a Paleontologist. There are quite a few subject specific songs one of my favorites is Elements by They Might Be Giants. Music and introducing chemistry in a fun easy way = PERFECT.

Kids Music has several hundred free songs for kids sorted alphabetically by artist. These are not music videos just the songs. However, there is no subscription or charge. The best part is you can download them FOR FREE! Check out The Five Senses by The Blankies!

Free Kid's Songs here they sort the songs by artist or by topic (I preferred to go by topic) there are lots of great songs (about 130 total), new catchy beats, and even some classics.

Victor Johnson has a handful of classic children's songs like Hey Diddle Diddle and the ABC song. But they are well done and the site is easy to use. Best of all he has free coloring pages you can print to go along with the songs.

EZ Tracks the site gets a little confusing if you aren't use to using it so I am sending you directly to the children's page.  The sons are free and you can even download them as ring tones (they send those to your phone though so be careful of data and messaging charges).

Kiddles I love this site, not only can you listen to and download the music as an MP3 but you can READ THE LYRICS! This makes it much easier for me to memorize the songs, and I can have my kids follow along to help them learn about rhythm! PERFECT!

DayVel's KidTunes You can download all of these, most of them are classic baby songs. There's not more then maybe a dozen at this time but I believe they are still uploading more!

Free ABC Songs.com They have a ton of classics and also new takes on the ABC's colors and more! I personally love the variety and I think it gives my kids more options to connect to the ideas. LOVE IT! This site says you can use these songs in classrooms and that you can burn them directly to a CDR for quick play lists for your kid.

LDS.org has a huge selection of Mormon or (LDS) primary hymns, and songs for free! You can download these MP3s and save them to your computer the same as in the above sites. Even though it is a religious site there are a ton of good songs for children that have nothing to do with the Mormon religion. And, if you are LDS then of coarse these will be songs your children will have heard at primary.

Jazzle Songs these songs go though the alphabet one song at a time! There are also other activities such as work sheets you can print and videos to watch.

Classic Cat This site is unbelievable, get this jut about every classical song you can think of, FREE! Download them, save them, burn them, put them on your iPod FOR FREE! Make your child's play for bed time, or rest time entirely from this site, and expand theirs and your classical music library this site is a GOLD MINE!

Okay there's quite a few to get you started! Where have you found great music for your kids?

  1. PS you will need a burning program to use the classic cat's website if you want to save them onto your computer.
